1. There were no apologies
- everyone was present.
2. Members reviewed
the full Commission discussion the previous day and the tasks for the
sub-group. Particular points included:
- the need for drafting
instructions. These should commend the style of the version considered
by the Commission (AEBC/01/02) and ask the 'drafter' to build on this
while incorporating and cross referencing the wider information in the
more detailed text previously considered by the group. Action: secretariat;
- the development
of the (now to be separate) sections on conclusions and recommendations
and, more generally, the strategic vision of the draft report;
- the terms of the
approach to ACRE and other advisory committees. Action: secretariat
to prepare draft letter;
- the timetable
for production of the final report.
3. The full Commission
would consider the subject again during the morning, and their further
views would be incorporated in the next steps for the group and the report.
