Chairman and Director of Rural Generation Ltd which specialises in commercialising biomass combined heat and power plants fuelled by wood chips. Managing partner of Brook Hall Estate, cropping 800 acres of cereals and 110 acres of short rotation coppice willows for renewable electricity production. Holds a number of other appointments including director of the Northern Ireland Authority for Energy Regulation.
